SUZANNE SHARES HER STORY
“Prevagen has helped Suzanne maintain a balanced life.”
Suzanne, 60sFinancial Services
Suzanne did not like being retired. Not one bit. So she unretired and rejoined the work force in the financial services industry where she had carved out a long career. Interestingly, these days this Sixty Something dedicated career woman says she’s learned that the secret of leading a satisfying life is finding a balance between her work life and her personal life.
“The trick is balance,” she says. “I work at my job from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and when I leave work I really leave work.”
Suzanne started working at the age of 14 and didn’t stop for nearly five decades. Along the way, she enlisted in the Navy and served four years, initially at Naval Station Norfolk and then at Naval Air Station Sigonella on Sicily, a part of the world she was initially leery of but soon embraced for its beauty, its warm climate and its people. She also liked her work as a postal clerk, knowing she was part of a complex system of getting letters and packages to and from home for Navy personnel serving their country far from home.
When she finally reached retirement age and stopped working, by now living in perpetually sunny Phoenix, Arizona, Suzanne found herself slipping into what she describes as “a deep, dark depression,” so she posted her resume and quickly got a call back to the financial services industry she thought she had left behind. She soon realized going back to work was easier said than done. “I was having a hard time keeping up, even though I was working at an easier pace.”
Suzanne noticed a TV commercial for Prevagen and bought a bottle. “In two or three weeks I felt my whole karma was back in sync!”
Since “synchronization” is a fancy way to describe harmony or harmonious relationships, Suzanne’s statement about her karma being back in sync is totally consistent with the mantra that has become a hallmark of the healthy, balanced and fulfilling life she leads. Whether taking her miniature dachshund Oscar for a walk, focusing on her favorite pastimes of reading books and doing intricate counted cross stitch, or putting in the hours on her new job, Suzanne is a woman who truly knows how to enjoy the balanced life of the Prevageneration.
Suzanne offers these words of well-earned advice to anyone starting out on their own path through life: “Find something that really interests you and do it.”
