Ron Shares His Story
“Prevagen has done wonders for me.”
Ron, 65
Retired Retail Sales Executive
After a demanding career in retail sales management that spanned nearly four decades and required moves to many markets in America, Ron and his wife Laura finally settled into a comfortable retirement a couple of years ago in a very pretty and geographically unique stretch of land and water in northwestern Tennessee.
They live in the small town of Dover on the Cumberland River that flows northward into Lake Barkley that forms the eastern boundary of a vast 171,280-acre national recreation area known as the Land Between the Lakes. Kentucky Lake comprises the western border of this national treasure, the largest inland peninsula in the United States and managed by the U.S. Forest Service.
“We spend our time fishing and hiking and working on the house and visiting family and all those things that we never really had time to do when I was working,” reports this 65-year-old avid fisherman who loves to putter around their home in Dover.
“Dover rides right smack dab in the middle of two huge rivers and the lakes which is why they call it the land between. At the end of our road is a lake and we've also got a huge pond so when we catch fish we bring them home and release them into the pond and maybe catch them again,” Ron explains with the hint of a chuckle that suggests he loves to tell a good fishing story as much as he likes to catch a good fish.
“We have a pretty basic simple life,” he adds. “I’ve always loved working with my hands building stuff and dealing with pretty much anything and everything that would happen to a house. I’ve learned how to do things myself and so I end up doing the repairs all the way from plumbing to electrical to roofing and everything in between.”
In addition to catching fish, keeping their house in good working order and just enjoying the good life in the Land Between the Lakes, Ron also likes to pay attention to his health and wellness. He explains he started noticing some minor problems with his memory.
So, typical of a person who is used to fix things around the house, Ron decided to give Prevagen a try. And he liked the result.
“Prevagen’s done wonders for me” he says.
