Katherine shares her story
“I tried the Extra Strength and when I did, I started noticing a steady improvement.”
Katherine, 74 - Retired Interior Designer
Katherine has had to deal with some challenges on her life’s path, but now as she nears her 75th birthday she’s retired from her long and successful career as an interior designer and she’s living the good life in her West Palm Beach home in Florida.
She looks back over her career collaborating with architectural firms to design the interiors of large municipal and commercial buildings, and she says that it may have taken her a while to embark on her career, but she did, and she did it her way.
“While in college, I discovered that I really enjoyed architecture,” Katherine explains. “So, I studied architecture and also interior design, and eventually started working for architectural firms because my background was primarily in architecture. So all those years I was doing architectural interior design, basically working with big architectural firms on the design of interior space of huge projects. My role was always to look at how the buildings are built and what their spatial needs are, which is what I did and what I loved to do.”
Katherine tells how she finally completed her college degree in interior design after she ended her marriage and had the time and opportunity to build a life on her own terms. “I grew as a person because I was kind of living my life wondering when my husband’s job would necessitate another move which would totally upend my career goals” she says. “And so at the age of 45 I said that the happiest years of my life were just beginning. And I was right!”
Several years ago, Katherine started developing knee problems that made it hard to climb up and down construction sites. “That's why I decided to retire,” she says. “I decided to have my knees replaced. So, two years ago, I had one done and then last year I had the second knee done. Now I'm more mobile. I adopted a little mini golden doodle and now she and I go for long walks. Twice a day. That's my exercise.”
Besides her knee problems, Katherine also began having some minor problems with her memory. She says, “I tried Prevagen last year because I noticed that I was faltering a bit particularly when I was talking to clients or friends on the phone. Trying to collect my thoughts at times was an issue. I just didn’t feel as sharp.”
She continues, “I thought maybe I should try Prevagen. So I tried the Extra Strength and when I did, I started noticing a steady improvement.”
As a woman who found and embarked on her own path, Katherine has clearly made the moves that have earned her a good life in the Florida sun.
